Cindy Warden I have really enjoyed Cindy's beginner (Thursday) class. I had taken yoga a couple of times before, but Cindy adds this wonderful sense of communion and peace that I didn't feel in the previous classes. I love how she talks about listening to our bodies and not trying to achieve any particular goals. She creates a gentle and supportive atmosphere that nicely complements the hard-driving approach of some of the other fitness classes I take. Cindy has a remarkable ability to break down a pose and teach it step by step, with patience, care, and attention paid to the individual components of the pose customized to the needs, ability, and goals of the individual. Cindy's Fitness Yoga for Beginners was my first yoga class and while I now attend a variety of intermediate and advanced classes at Fitness Yoga, I still enjoy Cindy's classes for the remarkable pose breakdowns that continue to be an important foundation to my yoga practice.
Every time I take a class from you, I recognize the sheer intelligence of your teaching. You can tell me just how to tilt your pelvis in cow or exactly what it feels like to "lift your knees" in forward fold. You would be a terrific teacher in any number of subjects, but I'm personally glad that you are my yoga instructor. Cindy, Thank you for providing a peaceful space in my life, a space which can now be found in the studio, in my home, and at my work. What a wonderful gift. Cindy, you have a great command of the room and a wonderful tone
of voice that helps me to center. I love to take your class. I always
learn something new. Thank you. |
